Welcome to our "Get Involved" page!
There are always opportunities to do something that will
Impact A Life or The Community!
Help us make a difference
There are many ways to volunteer or help...
from walking door to door to hosting fundraising events to assisting others in need.
Here is one way you can help:
National Law Enforcement Officers Museum "Thin Blue Line"
Donors will have the opportunity to help us reach our goal to have our organization name (Blue Knights NC 10 - Orange/Alamance Counties) included in the Thin Blue Line that will run through the panels of the Glass Bridge in the Museum. This beautiful glass bridge will connect the east and west mezzanine levels and will overlook the Main Concourse of the Museum.
Ride For Ridge
WOW! The Ride For Ridge event was more than a success!
Eighty-five (85) bikes left Down Home Harley-Davidson for a ride through the countrysides of Alamance and Orange Counties. They arrived at Maple View Farms for fellowship and to meet the Riley family. Then it was time for the return trip. They took a different route in order to enjoy more of the scenery and returned to Down Home Harley-Davidson.
Upon their return, lunch was served and a great time was had by all. Raffle tickets began being called immediately due to the influx of business donations received that morning...more than we could have ever asked for. Raffle tickets were being drawn by Ridge and his big sister, Emmrie and other children that were present.
More than $21,000 was raised to help Ridge and his family!
"Thank You" is not enough to all those that donated and volunteered to make this fundraiser a tremendous success!
We are extremely grateful to Down Home Harley-Davidson of Burlington and the staff and especially Butch and Wendy Armstrong for sharing their compassion with our cause by offering the use of their facility, equipment, food and talents.
To Ridge and his parents, Chad and Hannah, and his big sister, Emmrie...many prayers and thoughts and wishes are with you all and will continue to be throughout this ordeal. Even now, we hope that you have found some hope and solice in the fact that there are many people who care and want to help. If you need ANYTHING, do not hesitate to contact any of our members for assistance. Stay strong, keep the faith, and feel the love!
